Great idea about the toilet paper tube. I use my eggshells in the garden. I rinse them off and let them dry thoroughly and then put them in the blender until they become a fine powder. I sprinkle it around the plants to help fight blossom end rot.

If you're going to rinse eggshells, don't throw out that water! It's really good for house plants! I put the shells in a bowl or pan, cover with water, and let soak for a few hours. Then pour off and water plants with it. Can do this with outdoor plants, too.

Smash the shells, sprinkle around plants, feed back to chickens, or throw in compost bin.
