By far the best trade I've done was trading my first wife for the one I'm with now and have been for 11 years. She's a keeper.

I traded 18 laying hens (all over 3 years old) & 1 rooster for a 4-day old heifer calf. My Jersey cow raised her & I sold her at 26 months old with a new calf to the same people that I got her from. They did OK, too, because the heifer calf was given to them.

I had a friend call me on a weeknight, in January, in Minnesota... He had accidently killed a cow, and wanted me to butcher it, outside, in 0 degree weather. I got half the meat for the job.

We traded 2 male goat kids for a truckload of cauliflower. Took out what we needed and traded some of what was left to a friend in return for a years supply of corn. Traded the rest for hay.

Received eleven llamas if we would take over their care and get them off the place this couple wanted to sell (they moved half-way across the country about two years before this and were tired of getting feed and paying someone to feed them).

Traded three llamas for vet service, two percentage boer doelings and a 2 1/2 year old Fullblood Boer buck.

Traded four Pekin ducks for five rabbits. Traded four bunnies for a used hot tub. The hot tub was converted into a grain bin.

Those are the best so far. I've got a baby llama for trade if anyone is interested

I swapped an assortment of my homemade soaps and lotions for a massage session with my friend who is an LMT (licensed massage therapist). Worked out great for both of us!

I traded three trios of chickens in my best Lacy Roundheads,Davis Roundheads and Pakistani Asils for a mint freshly rebuilt and repainted Ford 8n with box blade and bush hog. I have used the tractor regularly for six years without a single problem
