Getting Skunk out of Livetrap?

When I did it I was told to cover the trap with a blanket and then to keep moving the trap after I had picked it up. I was told they need to get their feet planted before they can spray. Then I turned the trap on end and dropped it into a garbage can filled with water.

Three times so far and I've never been sprayed.
