Coating them in mineral oil was the simplest and longest-term method I could find apart from waterglass which I haven't been able to source yet. I just put a bit of oil in my hand and over each egg, making sure to cover them completely. It covers the pores, preventing air bacteria from getting in and spoiling the egg.

Mine usually get used up before 9 months commonly mentioned, so I can't verify that number. How long they last also has to do with what temperature you keep them at though. Obviously they don't need to be as cold as the fridge, but below 65F seems to work out best for me.
