well, see, for the longest time, me and mine thought .10 per 10 lbs. was the proper dose, for like 10 years. until one of our dogs, a male, died at age 6 of sudden liver failure. Autopsy produced cause of death was long term ivomec poisoning.so now, .10 per 40lbs.

Eh? GSD's belong to the working CLASS... and they are a herding breed. Phenomenal at it too. We breed them.

Sorry--should have clarified! Yes, GSD do herd--they just aren't related to Collies, Border Collies etc. We breed/train for Schutzhund--we don't herd, so I tend to forget the herding aspect of GSD's! I wouldn't use the pour-on Ivermectin--I don't think any research has been done on absorption/efficacy/toxicity in dogs.

The .10 cc per 10 lbs dosage for dogs is AFTER it has been mixed with 5 parts of propylene glycol, or .10 cc straight ivermectrin per 60 lbs.
