By now, folks should see him listed as a mod on this forum. Old members know him well but new members might like to get to know him a bit better.

Perhaps, he can take a few minutes and introduce himself.

I'm sorry, but why is he worthy of being a Moderator?

He left the board for 18 months with NO interaction on this site. I know he has a history with the board, but abandoning it for that length of time is not worthy of moderatorship in my opinion.

There were a lot of circumstances that went on behind the scenes that were his reason for leaving. It had nothing to do with his moderating abilities. Maybe he will chime in & shed light on the subject, but he was always a good & fair moderator.

Hey folks! As a way of introduction, let me say that I have been a member of HT since before it became a forum. My membership goes back to the Lusenet days. I was a moderator and member of the HQ forum for 10 years or more and have taken a hiatus for a year and a half.

I am a soil scientist. My specialty is land-based wastewater systems, especially septic systems. I have been collecting military firearms for many years. My latest is a .50 cal Browning M2 (Ma Duece).

I share my life with my soulmate, Wind In Her Hair, on 40 acres of forest in northcentral Minnesota. On our homestead, we are blessed with visits of deer (every day), wild turkeys, eagles, bears, and timberwolves, to name a few.

One of my passions is to drive WWII veterans in parades riding in my M38A1 Willys jeep. This spring I will mount that Browning in the jeep.

Would you PLEASE do a sticky thread on septic systems, perhaps with the first post linking to a FAQ on your private website, so that there is a place to point to for those questions. I'm tired of repeating my little knowledge on the subject since you have been gone and am happy to hand that to you.

Also... how do you get your beard to look so good? :D

welcome back, glad to hear you are mounting the new toy in the jeep. It appears that you learned your lesson when you lost all your other guns in that tragic boating accident a few years back.
