I see what you're saying. I see that a lot in the area we've been looking in. People will put a ridiculous price on a piece of property and will not budge on the price, even after years of sitting on the market. They're willing to wait on that "sucker" to come along. They won't drop the price. They'll just sit on it.

I know of 23 acres right now that's mostly pretty good land, nothing all that special, about half of it in hay, the other half steep and wooded. Price is $129k. Only one small barn on it and some fencing. I think it's going on 3 years now and the price is still the same, and not particularly negotiable. I've known of dozens of places along a major road (at least major for the area) that are always for sale. Again, sucker prices. They'll sell if the sucker comes along. Otherwise, it's just perpetually for sale.

it's the same everywhere I guess. take my old shack out in the country(well, it was country when I started out there in 72) I was trying to decide if I wanted to sell or not. got the real estate guys in. they said I could easily get 150.000 for it. all I have is 8 acres or so with a mobile that's ready to fall. (maybe it has fallen since the last snow dump) I got to put down board when I go in the sun porch so I wont fall through. it does have excellent growing ground and close to everything and on the main thoroughfare.

I decided not to sell because like HJ I do love it in that spot and I own it so it's not eating up any bread. I just haven't decided exactly what to do yet. get the mobile pulled out and build a small house or bring in another double wide. I'm leaning on the side of a small house because it will be worth more when I'm too old to move anymore and am forced out although I strongly feel I will end my days right there where I was most happiest! ~Georgia

Yes submersible. I am not up to heave ho-ing the pump up by myself. And the realtor showing place wouldnt been impressed with me doing anything to the property while he is standing right there. Course he had opinion that best thing would be to forget fixing the trailer and start from scratch.

The pump house is permanently opened until somebody does some work on door. So might go over there sometime and see if cap lifts right off.
Go back without the realtor. The realtor will probably not tell you anything of concern. they are nothing more than a salesperson looking for a commission and care about neither client.

The panelling was all in place except where they ripped the huge hole getting breaker box out.

ok seriously people spend that much effort for that little amount of dirty copper? Thats got to be sub-minimum wage. You could go sweep floors at McD and legitimately earn more money with less work. Course if you are a serious doper, suppose you couldnt really handle any regular job. Or maybe metal theft is way to supplement regular wages.
If its typical with no conduit, the chances are real good the wire is still there.
