I so not buy any charger not rated for at least 25 miles, even If it is just going on 100 feet of fence,
take a old AM transistor radio (can use the car/pickup radio) and go along the fence, if it is shorting one should be able to hear it, in the radio,
or walk it at night and see if you see any flashes or arcing,
I had a weak fence and could not figure it out, had one wire that had some snow fence blown up against it, and was shorting it out, ( it as on a wire I had forgot was hot),
at one time we had a batch of insulators that had a rivet that held the plastic on the spring that clipped on the T post, the plastic insulator would wear in side and short on the rivets in side the insulator, those were fun to find,
