Looks like Bearfoot Valley wins (8-2 I think). That's the new official name. Thanks everyone for your vote (feel free to keep weighing in). I'll post a link to my website when it's completed.

I like the look of Bearfoot better, but if you ever go to have anything printed on shirts or such the Joyful Valley logo will be less expensive as it is less complicated.

Just something to think about for a logo it needs to be simple, as pointed out above the Joyful picture is simple. The best test is to shrink it down to a size that would go on a business card and see if it works. if it does not you may need the change the logo or consider using only a portion of it. Very important to have an easily recognizable image that can be used in varying sizes equally as well. Lots of real nice looking full size images, simply do not work when shrunk down for use on food labels or business card

Don't forget if you can not decide you could always combine the 2 names?

The bear is nice but doesn't scream "farm" to me. Makes me think of salmon fishing in Alaska. It doesn't give customers any idea of the products you're producing.
Sanza and Muleman like this.

Don't feel like you need to make a decision NOW. it took me over a year when we decided to "farm for real" to come up with the name and website info etc., still working out details over a year later and have not officially launched the website. It is a time consuming process that will have long term implications on your success (or not success) This is why big companies spend tens of thousands of dollars developing logos and advertising adds. Take your time and do a lot of thinking on this. I would suggest talking to someone in your town who does advertising or art work and get their critique of your idea. Talk to some computer people who will consider how your idea will work in different formats. They will look at it in an honest light with no emotional attachment to the process, which sometimes clouds our judgement.

I am not trying to complicate this matter for you, but these are all real considerations that will have a big impact on how successful your advertising will be.
