We used to live in Maine and there were rocks everywhere so we put them to good use in beds. When we moved to Georgia and lived in town we had no access to rocks and had to use cement products due to costs. So...imagine our delight to find these cool looking rocks all over our new property out of town. Of course they keep coming up out of the garden too. That's the downside to rocks.

Wow that is so beautiful! Around here we throw up a building and stick something in it so the goats and chickens will not poop all over it and never get around to landscaping. When living in MT DB and I made a 20 by 55 greenhouse using chain link fence top rail and a specific bender I got from a place on line that would bend all the parts to the exact needed curve. Each support required three pieces of pipe, I used greenhouse plastic from farm tek and it lasted six years last I checked.

Thanks Sister! We'll probably put up a better and stronger structure when this one wears out. It was what we could afford when we started this year so we made it the best quality we could. 20 by 55 would be great! I can see us filling this one in no time. Do you miss Montana? That's one of the most beautiful States we have visited. Arizona is pretty nice too, especially in the mountains.

We transplanted the grapes, blackberries and raspberries we bought in tubes into 3 gallon containers to help them wait out the 2 or 3 more weeks before I get the ground ready for them. I also planted scarlet runner beans and lemon balm in the greenhouse so they can be ready to plant at about the same time.

I've planted more seeds than I have light for in the greenhouse. I hope that we get more sun than we've been getting . I have this great urge to just keep on planting. We figure we can get most everything in the ground by mid April. There is a chance of frost this weekend.

We did put a row of potatoes in the ground in an area we just had trees cut down in. We had to maddock the row up and pull out tree roots. That reminded me of what my ancestors had to do in a much bigger way when they settled in northern Maine about 4 or 5 generations ago.

Tomatoes under the lights. Zinnias and Marigolds on the table. (not enough lights) Pears in the front orchard. Peaches and apples in the back orchard. A row of potatoes planted where trees used to be. Strawberries will be to their left. I should have time early next week to get 40 of them in the ground.

Two more. Took these on my walk around the yard before leaving for work. It's a great way to start before my hour commute.
