That was 23 with a wood stove going, air cranked on low (last stocked a 10pm), and a "Mr Heater" single propane head, set on the lowest setting, (8,000BTU) on a 100lb tank.

Tonight I have the stove on wide open, and the propane set on the highest level. Inside is currently 44 without side 4 degrees. I plan to leave the propane on high tonight, (14,000BTU) and will stock the stove again before I turn in around 10pm.

Forecast low tonight is -10.

My biggest problem this week has been trying to wash the grass stains off my feet. Mowed last Saturday and again today. Between that and playing in the yard with the kids, my feet are solid green and it just won't wash off. High 70s/ low 80s all week. Should be the same next week. Winter in Arizona is rough.

I am tired of winter. I should be in my garden right now. I think my birds have left and gone further south, I haven't heard them the last couple of mornings. I do have one robin that I think the cold spell has driven him mad. He has spent the last couple of days trying to attack himself either in the window, the mirror of my car, or the windshield of my car. Blessings, Kat

.It got down to 20 below zero last night. That is truly cold for southern KY. All our outside water hydrants are frozen so we are carrying water three times a day from the house to the barn and shelter/run out horses. Will be carrying water to the water tank for the pasture horses today, too.

Warmer tomorrow ... with freezing rain, which could be heavy. Not good.

Well at least we are not alone in this. I just saw miami s high of 38* and atlanta 14*. I'm sitting at -16 right now but we get cold on occasion and those poor people down there have to be in shock.

We have a male cardnial that has spent the last 2 years attacking the side view mirrors on our trucks/car ect. If we want them clean we have to tie a plastic grocery bag on them. He even beats up the "other" bird until he bleeds.
