I bought a Stihl 250 18 mo ago, pretty happy with it. However, you do need the alcohol free hi grade gas to have trouble free operations. I don't like the new Stihls as ownership has decided to raise $ and decrease quality, IMO.

Yes trying to find Alcohol free gas is fun. We have one station in town that has it.

Bought a 026 STIHL so far cut Cord and half with it. Starts and runs real good.

I have a Stihl 029 that I bought 13 years ago. It is a good machine. Very reliable starts.

Just today I cleared 200' of trail right thru a grown up forest. I cleared lots of alder, doug fir, and vine maple. I did have to clean the chain once but that is because I was cutting flush at ground level so I didn't have any stubs sticking up. This trail will be used by tractor and ATVs so I had to cut close. Other than having to clean, it ran perfectly.
