How cood before you fireup the wood stove?

it depends on the weather outside. 20's or 30's outside. otherwise the house gets too hot!

I'm off the charts on the whimp scale. I stop functioning completely in the chill, so the fire would need to be going well before that. I do prefer the bedroom to be chilly, though.
