^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

Is it just me that sees the obvious???

I lean more towards lids that do not match the present bowls and bowls with no matching lids.

Reading glasses. Someone sneaks into my house and steals my reading glasses....it's the only plausible answer because one person is not capable of misplacing all the reading glasses I am missing.

Lost my good, FREE hat. Sweetie said she brought it in from the car! I never looked. We had the back seats down for months, made 2 trips to Dentist and 1 to town a month ago. I put them up today because DS was driving us into town. There it was on the floorboard. I would lose my head if it was not attached, seems my brain rattles out somehow/where....James

Me: tape measures, flashlights and welding gloves. I will find only the left or right hand glove on top of the welder.
Things to write with, black sharpie markers, soapstone and silver grease pencils top the list also.
The key for my shop truck, I had 5 made a few months ago. I only see one today.

My son: Winter hats, we had a commodity for a few years.

The Misses: Car keys and carmex

Its a conspiracy I tell ya!

As far as socks are concerned there is a theory, during washing a worm hole opens up due to the agitation of the washer and unhappily mated socks slip away to a world that is single sock oriented, where single socks can lead the good life, leaving their mates abandoned in this world. Some day I hope to find this world and have a successful second hand sock business.

The Sun. Misplaced it weeks ago. Haven't seen it since. Anyone know what it looks like care to describe it for me? I think I'm gonna scratch off everything on my Santa list and ask for a new one. I've been almost good some of the time.

And also gloves. I have a box full of left leather gloves. I have no idea why it is always the right glove that vanishes.

Encouraging thread. I thought it was just me that had lost everything including my mind sometimes.
Like others I've tried buying so many of the vanishing items that you would think it would be on every corner. Doesn't work.

I've taken to buying reading glasses in volume and leave a pair in each room, every vehicle, the barn, office and at least one pair in my purse. With such a well organized plan, I'm left to wonder why I spent 45 minutes looking for a pair today.

everything I need or set down seems to vanish. I have gremlins on top of my 9 rug rats that take off with stuff too.

+1 to Nail Clippers
+1 to bowls

Also,

pens & cat toys, of course I know where the cat toys go. If I move the couch I will find about 2 dozen.

The easiest way for me to find a missing tape measure is to buy a new one.

Funny. I often find mine at the base of fence posts where I kneel to tie or untie poly wires etc. I have been known to find a glove on the ground and the fencing pliers on top of a post at the same post weeks later when I hadn't missed the pliers yet. (spray with WD40, work back forth for a while. Also works on the pliers. )
