Yes there are always two sides. Nobody is calling anybody a lair either. Just that getting only one side does not give the whole picture no matter how many pics are posted what is their side of things on this?

I don't believe anyone said that anyone should give land to anybody and if you read the letter sent by the lawyer, the neighbours did not ask to be given anything either. They made an offer to purchase or as an option an offer for a legal easement with compensation.

In either case, the offers were rejected. Until this had been disclosed, the offer letter had always been explained as the neighbours hiring a lawyer to force BRP to give away land. He was well within his rights to refuse.

The previous owner who sold the land misled the new owners about access or they may have had access to the disputed drive that they thought would be granted to the new owners. In either case, it would be interesting to hear why they feel things went wrong.

Seems many thought the depression era bank robbers were like Robin Hood and they rose to the level of folk heroes among many....

There are always two sides....right and wrong depend on which side of the fence you are on....the truth is usually in the middle...

That all happened more than 2 months ago, nearly 3 months ago. He got a lawyer and the situation has already been dealt with, water under the bridge.

I may be confused but I thought I remembered BRP saying in a previous thread that he bought this property on a land contract or rent to own type deal . If I'm correct could he even sell off any of the property even if he wanted to ?

Now though Those on the Receiving end can find wrong in it all.

Some have a different moral Compass and could never Justify such,under any situation.

You can't expect all to Operate to your Moral standards, Its one thing you just can't delegate,regulate nor legislate.

And in the same respect, You can not expect everyone to expect to Accept your morals.

I will now remind you of a old saying, "The road to hell is paved with good intentions."

So again never in the middle, but sometimes we can look and find some compromise if all things are taken in consideration.

The Letter came from a Lawyer that we had Retained, case was in my wifes name so he didn't realize we had already Retained him. He was the one that told us to put up the Fence. Once he realized what he had did he told both us he couldn't represent either of us. So we Retained another Lawyer, which just laughed said it was one of the stupidest cases they was trying to sue for, they had no case.

The place had been surveyed twice before, last one less than a year before. I told them their Satellite Dish was put on my property, which they couldn't really see because their Camp Trailer was already setting over the Line, I had to lay down look under the Trailer to see the Dish was over. I showed the Man, he said he had messed up and would have to have it moved. Next thing I know he is having it surveyed again. I told him that was silly the Pins had not moved, he said well it was just money. I told him it was best he moved the Trailer off at this time too.

Then they hired a couple to Mow their Grass, he told them to mow on my property. Because the Mower and Weed Eater were both running yes I had to holler, soon as they shut them off I told them not to be mowing my grass because this is how the last owner had tried to stake claim to my property. They threaten to call the Sheriff on me, I told them go ahead and call the Sheriff I would get them for Trespassing. Then the Guy said he was sorry, he was just doing his Job, I then showed him where the Line was so there was no misunderstanding. After they left is when I put the Fence up.

This is another thing last owners of their property had a Lagoon well on my property, I had them put another System in and fill in the one they had on my property. I was watching the woman on there one day she was picking up rocks from their septic work and throwing them over on my property.

It sounds like a whole bunch of animosity fuelled by gossip and speculation. Do you have any idea who would gossip around town about your finances and personal life?

Sure do! Next neighbor over. He is the one that gave them the aerial I posted.

I just don't know how to get him lined out. I stopped had nice chat with him the other day mostly about his wife, she had bad accident, been in Hospital last 4 months.

Does bother me all being said and don't bother me if they know the truth, if they really feel it is their business.

Oh neighbor on other side my wife works for he is in with OHS he had us checked out before we bought, like he said he didn't find anything. Funny before my wife went to work there he was to officially check her out like he said he already knew all about her

This does sound like some irritation on both sides. Seems, Rock, you have stood your grounds and have your boundary sufficiently identified with fencing.

If those lights shine onto your property in a way that causes your family stress, then some fast tall-growing trees should help a lot.

I personally like to respect my neighbors' rights to do with their own property what they want to do...as long as it does not cause problems for my homestead. With this being said, when we moved onto our place, I had a neighbor who tried to take a large chunk of the land we had paid for; so I know there are people who are not as honest as they could be. I had to make it a priority of putting up a fence on that side; and I did so without consulting with him. That was in 1995 and he has respected my fence all these years. (I also have a "security light" that comes on when it gets dark. This light reaches out enough so that it actually gives a little light to the neighbor on the other side of me. Her trailer sits only 30 ft from my boundary line. She has her own security light at the opposite side of her house and has told me she really likes that my light permits her to see her entire back yard well enough to feel safe should anything come up that might frighten her.) I also have a security light that can light up my back acreage with a switch. No one lives across the creek back there...as yet...and should someone ever do so, the trees bordering the creek would stop my light from encroaching on their rights.

Were I in your shoes, Rock, I would let go of any animosity felt, put up some tall trees if want to and let those neighbors live the way they want to live. It sounds like you have a solid legal stand; and that should give some peace of mind.
