Flannel sheets...

I remember now it was Sears I got those heavy sheets that are lasting so long and they were called flannelette blankets on the wrapping. I don't use fitted sheets because I use a mattress cover and also a woolite cover and the fitted one would pull it off. so I need the flat ones to tuck everything in. at that time they use to sell one flat in a bag. I don't know about now

I must check out target this weekend to see if we have a sale up here. they would be more though than what you pay. always is. I paid 60 dollars for a set of cotton ones at wallmart to give to my son for Christmas. he can't breathe around flannel. it's going to be a cold night tonight but quite cosy in my bed. I just turned on the blanket and what with the sheets it will be warm as toast when I get in later.~Georgia.

I love flannel sheets! DH would sleep nekkid in a snowbank so he's happy to go back to cotton in the summer. I've purchased most of mine in the spring on clearance at Sears or Penneys. I'll be sure & check out Target, that's a good price.

They are thinner than they used to be, but not bad. The best flannel I've ever had was from Garnet Hill catalog, softer and softer until it wore out. But was expensive. I've been settling for LL Bean and the Company Store, as it's a good balance of price and quality. But when I'm feeling flush I'm going to get sheets from Garnet Hill again!

We sleep under flannel in 90 degree heat. I think it breathes so much better and doesn't get gross if you sweat, you know that awful cold wet pillowcase at the nape of your neck? We can also drop 30-40 degrees in the middle of the night.

I live in Lancaster County and I'm curious what store you bought your sheets at. We need a new set for our bed and I am thinking of heading to Target and picking up a set for each of our grown kids as well.

I use flannel sheets, two blankets and a comforter all year round. I can't sleep without them. I've tried to sleep with just a sheet in the summer but I need the weight on me. I use a small window air conditioner in the summer to keep the bedroom cool. I'll never go back to linen sheets, the flannel is way too snuggly!

Maybe I need to buy a few dozen sets of flannel sheets to add to my preps...

I got my favorite flannel sheets ever at Goods, the one in Quarryville. There's a bigger Goods store over beside Shady Maple. I haven't been in either of them in a good while as we're not parked near there anymore. (Doing seasonal work in Kentucky.)

Our family has a familiar saying that gets bantered about... "Get good goods at Goods."

I love flannel sheets DH hates them! I am very tempted to make half and half sheets!

I stopped at the Goods in Quarryville, Pa to look at the sheets. The sheets were made by Laura. They were made in Pakistan. The cost was $23 for a queen set. I did not see any patterns like you described. First time I have ever been in this store. I was in a hurry when I stopped but my wife said she wants to go back when we have time. Very nice store and my wife said prices were good. I picked up Jobber Muck boots for $78. Looking on-line the cheapest price I could find for these boots was around $99.

Aldi's ad ,for next week(Wed 17 th) says they will have flannel sheets 19.99 a set.

I found some flannel sheets on Amazon with a pattern called Spring Ivy. Don't know anything about the quality though.
