Hi all, depending on where you are in the state of Oklahoma, this morning it is anywhere from $1.89-2.40 for ethanol unleaded, and $230-2.50 for 100% gas. Diesel is still well over the $3.50 mark. I homestead in north central Oklahoma

Well the wells are already being shut down.
More have been just shut down than in the last 2 years.
They can't have oil prices this low especially the shale oil side of things.
One thing this is going got hurt is the pipeline it is just about too expensive now on the Canadian side to go ahead and get that oil.
And THAT I bet is what is behind OPEC from not stopping their production they don;t want the US to get a good foothold into the oil business.
Also the instability that is happening now up two years ago and now way down makes it very hard for big companies to plan ahead and they don't like this should we, could we, or just wait.

Part of the diesel being so high it now has to be refined more, because thanks to you know who,,,,, the EPA that is who.
They have such a strangle hold on this country it isn't funny.

$2.799, but with my store card I am down to $2.499. Certain items come with a cents off per gallon sometimes...cat food is $0.10, sponges are $0.02, etc. I only get the stuff I normally get, and since we stock up, when I see that little blue tag on the shelf, I add a few more to the stocks.
Matt
PS; waiting a bit longer to fill up the Burb (30 gallons, plus 20 gallons of cans). Pickup is full...from emptying the cans.

Same here. We went to Warsaw the other day at Wal Mart they usually have everyone beat but not this time. I was setting on E so I still had to get some.
I know refineries take up a lot of land but I wish we had more here in the U.S. Like my wife said if U.S. Oil companies were smart they would buy cheaper oil coming in.
What gets me is why we're not seeing more of the oil base products coming down in price?

$1.99 in my little home town north of Springfield! DH took a pic as he (and I) never thought we'd ever see it below $2 in our lifetime again.

2.51 to 2.57 for 87 octane Ironically exactly the same for E85
as for the gas vs diesel more diesle is being used than gas now with all the 35-45 mpg cars , heck even my dads new F150 is getting 22-25mpg , but so many people went for diesel trucks and the tractors, semis and it is home heating oil season harvest had the price for Diesel higher right through thanks giving
the wife works for the coop and they had fuel trucks running 7 days a week to fields to fill tractors , combines ,semis and the farm tank till the end of Nov and by Dec 1 everyone is remembering they forgot to fill their fuel oil heat tanks and they are running 6 days a week on them
I am not in the oil refinery business but I have a feeling that Diesel used to be the byproduct of gas or so we were told and now Gas is the byproduct of Diesel.

2.45 to 2.25 depending on which part of town you are in. Bit of a price war thing out where K-mart gas and Wal-mart gas are across the street from one another

We had to make a quick trip this past weekend to OKC. We are in Mid-Mo. We paid anywhere from $1.99 in OKC to $2.29 on the trip. It was awesome to fill up the jeep for under $40.00. We bought this jeep in 2007 new. It has been across the US with us over the years. It has cost up in upwards of $70.00 to fill up at one time in Wyoming the two years we were there and down to what we filled up for this weekend, $35.00.
