chunk wood vrs pellet wood stoves insites please

for now we set her up with a couple of those my buddy gas deals for emergencies and a kerosene (yuck) heater. I am going to get a knock off comfort furnace for her and bought two of those oil radiator type heaters for daily use as that works well for our house. Sooner than later we will be putting in a insert for her fireplace to replace the gas heaters but at least I know now shell be warm.. Thanks for the suggestions guys I knew I could count on some real person perspectives here.
