Some trivia for you. The white woolie worm of the arctic lives for up to 14 years before turning into a moth. They spend every short summer eating as much as they can then they attach themselves to rocks and go to sleep for winter. Their bodies produce a type of antifreeze to protect them from winter arctic temperatures while they go into a winter dormancy. It takes from 5 to 14 summers for them to eat enough food to produce the energy needed to spend their final winter in a cocoon metamorphosing into a moth.
