Regular oats with the hull on make good feed as part of the mix for cattle and other critters with multiple stomachs that digest fiber. As well immature oats - before it heads out - makes a fair hay or grazing or silage crop for the same critters.

Pigs will do better on more of a grain only diet, their stomach processes higher level grains much better.

However - folks like specialty stuff, and some folks prefer pastured pigs. In that situation efficiency or faster growth or income is not important, and perhaps oats or even pastured oats would fit into a specialty pig operation.

This thread is full of good info, but it depends what your goal actually is?
