Made 4 loaves of banana bread and met with son's case worker. Got some good info on "transitional age" resources.

Hahaha! Only some of you will appreciate my humor but.....my husband was really stressing about a big meeting that he had to go to. The night before the meeting I changed his ringtone to that song that goes "my milkshake brings all the boys to the yard". Meeting was scheduled for 9:30. At 9:33 I dialed his phone.....SECOND BEST PRANK I ever played on him.

Did physical therapy on my new chicken, yes, sounds weird but she is a Rhodebar Chicken and not cheap so I am trying to save her; she has something wrong with her legs.
Trimmed the trees down the 1/4 mile driveway
Did 4 loads of laundry and cleaned the house, no wonder I am tired and didn't make dinner tonight

I'm the assistant manager at a local drive in diner so I did that today from about 8:30 until 4. We were busier than a long tailed cat in a room full of rockin chairs! But all I could think about was getting home to my new wood burning cook stove. We have been polishing it and making sure everything is in working order. The damper had come loose so we fixed and a few other small things are needed. We burned somestuff in the burn barrel and cleaned our generator, checked it over good and made sure the oil was good to go. Then DH finished a wall in our son's room. It was the last one to put insulation in so he's snug now. Tidyinthe house now before bed.
Tomorrow will be a do over of today at the diner. We have 2-3 with deliveries trucks coming and tomorrow is "chuckwagon special" day, so all our chuckwagon-loving regulars will be flocking in. Our new pumpin pie spice milkshake has also been gaining admirers. We're the only restaurant for 12-15 miles in either direction, smack dam in the middle of farming country. Gonna be a busy day, tater.

Got to the firehouse too late for a call this morning, so came back home and got some wife wants jobs done.. little things.. then went out and cut some wood and hauled it off the hill to the house and splitter... Charged the battery on the splitter because I forgot to turn off the power switch last time... Then finally got to split some wood, then went to the monthly fire house meeting.. and now I'm here.
Oh, did a load of laundry too...

I should never have started posting here. The stress of meeting the expectations to actually do something every day is more than I expected. Being I am still at work, I had planned to do nothing again, but then I remembered I had to write something I did here, SO!! ***** I did some paper work!! *****and I checked on the guys work.***** I hope that is enough????
Oh, I made me 2 shrimp sandwiches also!!! Does that count?? I sure hope so, cause I am wore out, I think I am going to bed now!!

Thats more than enough, if you do all your chores in one day, you will have nothing to do tomorrow.

I really like it too, I follow the change of seasons but seldom post here. We have been about two months in a home remodel project to make two bedrooms, two walk in closets and a large pantry off the kitchen. DB finished the texturing of the dry wall yesterday and I primed the pantry today. Oh my goodness, my back is yelling at me and I have so much left to do of the priming and then painting before we can move mom here with us. Every day I enjoy the beauty of the place I live and I sometimes forget that other places are beautiful settings for homes for folks too LOL This thread reminds me that you all don't live in caves!

This morning I woke up and stepped out of my cave, then!!! Just kidding, I did wake up though, and early too, must have been like 9:30 or so!! I drank coffee, I ate lunch (mashed potatoes and some kind of beef stuff???) I did some paper work. I went up and down the stairs 2 times, oh wait, maybe 3??? And then,,,hmmmmmm,,, Ok I guess that was everything! But I got big plans for tomorrow, I may even get up early again like I did this morning!!!

Bought 50 pounds of white clover seed. Rounded out a few of my preps in case the Ebola thing ends up not being 'contained'. Fortunately this amounted to a couple of jugs of water, a bit more pepto bismol and some comfort foods(ie. rootbeer and m&m/chocolate chunk cookies).
Guess what I'll be doing for the next couple of days....

Drove 14 yo ds to school. Takes 45 min roundtrip. Not happy he missed the bus. Went to work for 8.5 hours, library, pharmacy, and home. Dh gathered 11 yo dd from after school program and took her to the orthodontist. I made dinner and did some impromptu social skills training with 16 ds (ASD). I hope I got through to him and there will not be trouble in the neighborhood tomorrow...... Had a long talk with other 16 ds (twins) about his decision to quit school and take the GED. He has Lyme and chronic fatigue and missed all of last year. This year started off ok but he has been getting steadily worse over the last 3 weeks. Looks like he will need to graduate to a pic line or IV and take daily doses of antibiotics thru there. Its been a loooong road. The school has been AMAZING but even they think maybe GED is the way to go so he can focus on healing.

Muleman- you might want to pace yourself. I think you are on the road to professional burnout.

Took oldest dd to school, then stopped by the Wal-Mart to get a captain America costume for ds and a rainbow unicorn costume for older dd. Baby dd is being a flower and I already had her costume.
Also found a bunch of pansies on clearance for fifty cents a six pack and mums 97 cents apiece so I got a bunch. Found a big pack of "claudia" tulip bulbs and got them too.
Came home and sewed on an old nine patch quilt my mamaw made me before I was born. I'm hand sewing all of it like she did so it takes awhile. The binding had come off and the strawberries appliques were loose, plus some holes in the back. Got about halfway done and then cleaned a bit.
Got dd from school, helped her with homework, and made supper.
Then had my mom watch baby dd so I could plant stuff. Got all but the tulips planted when it got dark. While I was planting mums I had to keep moving daffodil bulblets I was accidentally digging up lol.
Got my girls from moms, fed the cats and rabbits, and gave the girls baths. Almost story time, then I'm gonna shower and work more on the quilt til I get sleepy.

my4fireflys: Hope your son gets better soon. I go to spoil great niece. Helped Ms Connie clean up around her bathroom. A family friend is going to finish the roof, it has only been 3 years
