Much higher here...filled tank (only took 58 gallons). Bill was charged at 2.54 a gallon AFTER a 30 cent deduct for cash and another 30 centsfdeduct for order/fill by JUly 31 so that is $3.14 per gallon.

However, they also charged me $75 annual lease fee for the tank since I don't use enough, so that really increases the cost per gallon. First year they did that...I'll have my own tank by next season! Guess since I am in a very heavy natural gas well area, they are getting their money while the natural gas isn't hooked to homes yet...

$1.85 . . . Eastern Washington. Graywolf, call Cenex. The quotes I got from some of their competitors went as high as $2.55. Those same competitors were close to $8.00 a gallon last winter. What a racket.

Just got a minimum delivery , to waive $75 tank charge was charged $4.09 per gallon. Last winter put in a couple electric baseboards to back up wood stove and did not use propane except to cook. Time to buy my own tank.

I'm a firm believer in owning your own tank. I got mine 10 years ago for a cost of ~$1,000 for a 500 gal. It will last me a year unless the winter is severe. I call around and find the best cost. Sometimes that can vary by as much as $1 per gallon. If I am buying 350 gallons that can pay for a tank pretty quick.

Plus, just today we finished with our firewood chores for the year. Processed and got stored about 5 cords.
