Save for a solar set. The customer service fee is not going a way. When you do get bulbs like led cause one day you will save the receipt , and packaging write with permanent marker the date bought and the date put in use. If it fails use the 800 number and the company with the receipt and info on the bulb the will most like be very kind. I had one replaced as some time there are defects. They even provided a label to send back the bad build.

You will get used to dimmer lights. It takes just a bit to adjust to going out side and yes when I reenter it does need dark.

I have to save to upgrade from extension cord Lee system to real wiring in the basement were we live.

How would use feel paying 80 dollars for election when the bill is30 for comstomer 35 dollars for fee for low useage customer 10 for election and the rest in taxes.

I had one bill like that it cost me more to cut back than to use ele 35 dollars fee for lower my use great.

Check you meter and keep a log it could be off or you might have something wrong if your ele meter is spinning and it should not.

As others have stated, oil lamps aren't going to save you money, but you might want to take a closer look at your bill. A few years ago, I did an experiment to determine if I could save my household some money on the electric and gas bills. Our house has 2 sets of meters because it is a 2 family home that we use as a 1 family. I tracked the energy usage in kilowatts (electric) and therms (gas). The following month, I made several of the changes that people recommend to reduce power bills. The result was that the usage charges went down and the service fees went up. Seriously. We did this for about 4 or 5 months. We ended up saving about $3 per month. Your mileage may vary, but we found that it was easier to save money in other ways. It seems that our power company is legally allowed to flex their service and delivery charges.
