What should a bystander do?
If you believe someone is having a stroke – if he or she suddenly loses the ability to speak, or move an arm or leg on one side, or experiences facial paralysis on one side – call 911 immediately.

I'd like to add the loss of fine motor skills. When dad had his, his speech and motor skills are what tipped me off. He couldn't get his fingers to work buttoning his shirt. His speech was way off, but his mind stayed sharp during the stroke. Terrifying morning, to say the least.
