Don't know about the Vitamix but the Ninja has a plastic container which discolors after a couple of carrot juices. I prefer glass containers. Just a thought.

Seems like they all have plastic containers. You'd think somebody would make a glass alternative.

I picked one of these up at an auction a few years ago for $20 bucks and love it. I would look for an older one instead of buying new.

I just started juicing a couple of months ago, with the Ninja commercial unit. I throw nothing out, and my smoothies are great. It's the best thing I have ever done for my health, just wish I would have started 40 years ago! : )

Vitamix.

Grind flour.

Veggie smoothies - nothing is wasted.

Great for making canned spaghetti sauce (awesome stuff!)

Use it for various canning projects.

Great customer service - we ruined the plunger (ahem, always put the lid on before putting the plunger in!) and they replaced it free of charge (I paid the shipping) even after I confessed to what had happened - they said I wasn't the first! and that everyone got one "oops".

What a simple way to make uncooked apple sauce . . . .in my vitamix....

You need plenty of fiber in your diet . . . why "juice" a carrot or apple and throw away the healthy pulp/fiber . . . . water to dilute if too "thick"

vitamix to the rescue......................

I have a Vitamix. Because I love it so 3 other people ended up buying one.

My parents where going to buy a Vitamix but unfortunately Costco was having Blendtec demos instead of Vitamix so they bought a Blendtec. Seems like a great machine too

Blendtec has good reviews, and it, too, is made in the USA, but I really want to go with the company that has the longest track record.

I was watching a video review of the Nutribullet, and he pointed out a weak spot in the design where the blades attach. In another video, he showed how a newer model of the Nutribullet had redesigned that attachment point, so it was better. Which is good, but that's when I realized that the Vitamix has had 80 years of product design improvements, and that really hit me as not only good for me as a consumer, but that the company ought to be rewarded for this (by my choosing it over another.)
