And, I've found the simplest solution to certain members repeatedly attacking me is to block them. "Poof", they're gone!

All of my posts are riddles and mixed up thoughts.

I personally rather like the fact that this medium of communication is a bit tricky. Knowing this causes me to review my writing before I hit the "send" button. I cannot count the number of times I have read something wrong on this forum simply because my brain skipped over a word like; never, ever, was, saw, thought etc and just plugged in the word that worked for my brain and then finding out the meaning was totally off course. I, myself, practice patience when working with forums as not all are typists, not all are great communicators, not all can spell etc....but I bet that all are decent hard working folks who use this medium to maintain contact with other good folks!

I made a post a while back and almost immeditely got a e mail from a moderator. The mod read it wrong as to what I was saying. Evenutally, I had the mod delete the whole post to avoid problems.

We have good moderators on HT. They do their best to keep it going the right way without too much negativity.

I write instructions, knitting and dog training. It’s really hard. And knitting pretty much has no emotions or mental obstacles.

How do you train a dog to knit? Or a person to knit and train dogs at the same time? I think I must have a mental obstacle.

And seriously, some people are just grouchy! Don't take 'em too seriously. I just move on.

There are some who respond whose writing does seem to suggest they are hot under the collar a lot. There are also some very kind people who go out of there way trying to helpful, kind & supportive. Ignore the former or report them if you feel they are way out of line. Be thankful the others.

This reminds me of the old Gilbert and Sullivan song "I've got a list of society's offenders who might well be under ground and they none of them be missed..."
We just need to update it for the web society. Instead of people "with irritating laughs", we'd have people who use emoticons like punctuation. Or people who "eat peppermint and puff in your face" , we'd have people oh-so-cleverly distorting spelling to express contempt.

yeah it is pretty common. best thing is to re read your post before posting it and make sure that someone won't misunderstand ..but that still won't guarantee it.

every one comes from different backgrounds, faiths, locals, etc..and things are very different in different parts of the country..so it is easy to misunderstand..and some people WANT to be controversial anyway..and will find a reason to argue
