How to temporarily fix muddy spot on our dirt road

Guys, thanks for all of the advice. I think all of you were right -- I dug some small trenches to drain away water, I laid down weed blocker and layered small amounts of sand and rocks, and even laid down some small saplings. I had to do a lot more than I expected -- temperatures have been warmer and there was a lot more mud today then 2 days ago.

I am so sore and am a broken man -- I probably shoveled out 8 yards of material today. Thanks again for the tips and advice. I look forward to this being fixed and over. Oh, I do plan on getting rid of our minivan for a Suburban in the near future -- this would have been so much easier if we had more than one 4x4 vehicle.
