Want to echo Danaus29. Was audited in '82 for my garden biz, and the IRS went back to when I'd started paying tax in 1970. I keep EVERYTHING. On a related matter, I have many many disks of info I can no longer access as the machinery that produced and read them is obsolete. Am not about to go thru that w/ flashdrives!

My chest gets tight just thinking about all of the moldy paperwork we hang on to in order to appease our government. They know when I have a bowel movement, why can't they just figure out down to the 8d nail how much I spent on my barn 20 years from now?
