My H has a belt pulley, fiber. Ran the buzz saw when we used that.

The old Olliver 88 had a metal pulley, it would run the silage blower but I think I was 5 the last time that was run on this farm.

I thought the Super C would be all the tractor a homesteader would need/want. A 300 is for serious farming. It will pull 3 14s, a 22ft wide disc, 4 section harrow, 6 row planter, any pull type combine or square bailer made, BUT NOT a round bailer that would make 5 X 5s.
OK I am curious here.... why not pull the 5x5 roller? I pull one with my little to35 Ferguson.

Farm boy was talking about a 5 ft round Bailer not Rollers No problem with the rollers. I worked for Dairy farmer in Alaska in 59, 60, 61. 300 much more power than H also higher road speed. fields behind barn were terraced down towards River. H did not have power to pull heavy wagons up the short steep slopes 300 did fine. His third tractor was MM hard to steer but good wgt for packing in pit Silo

Ah, a Moline. They had one of the weirdest designs. They wanted a cab.

This just keeps getting better for you. Hold off a while longer and see if he has a new, under warranty, four wheel drive, with a loader stashed somewhere!

I would find a use for any of the tractors mentioned, but the 300 sounds like the best.

A friend ( I think !) is trying to sell me a 300 utility with a two point and a loader.
Rotten tires and seat ,Im not sure if the Ta works or not.
Before I head over there to look at it whats it worth?

IF all the tires are bad, id say as close to $1,500 as you can get it. The loader might add another $1500 to it depending on looks.

I looked at a 300 utility without loader, in good shape, rebuilt TA, new tires. The asking price was $1800. It was worth that and more. But unfortunately, I wasn't first in line. Someone else got a good deal.
