"Freedom's just another word for nothin' left to lose,
And nothin' ain't worth nothin' but it's free,
Feelin' good was easy, Lord, with my chickens on the cruise,
And buddy, that was good enough for me,
Good enough for me and my free-range chickies."

Which is not quite the same thing as: "if someone has their animals on my land, I have a right to blast it to kingdom come. My land, my rules." now is it?

It's chickens for goodness sake...run them back home. Once in a while many years ago living way out on our family farm the neighbors cows would get out and get in the garden. I hated it for the garden and our summer eatin but they are cows. It happens sometimes. I chased them home and sometimes helped fix fence. I can't remember my animals getting out but I would have expected the same thing back if they would have.
I always have a fear of "Treat others the same way you want them to treat you."

Angie, I object to my deleted post, or at least the remnant of it. The closest thing in my post to an insult was saying that his neighbors have a terrible neighbor. While that is critical, it is not an insult, and certainly not as caustic as many posts that remain in this thread.

That's not what real country people do , they raise a big fuss , shoot them & have them for dinner & want to tar & feather their terrible neighbor because a chicken stepped on their property .

And sue the neighbor when they break a tooth on a piece of buckshot.
