After this winter, I may go out and play in the mud myself! I will be happy to deal with the mud and reclaiming the driveway dirt.

The weather has been warm. Not like 50 but 30 and sometimes above freezing. Nights in the teens and 20's glee.
But today I seen it my sign that screams spring. I seen my first skunk. Poor thing was so thin, but I seen it. The skunk fit threw a 2x4 inch fencing. I felt bad for it. But it's spring!!!!! Yeah!
Yep next week. Planted taters today in 80 degrees. Just 3 days ago it was 40 for a high.

It was 75 when I walked into work yesterday...then it was suddenly 40 with ridiculous gusting wind blowing teensy hail into my face. It really is coming, though!! The squirrels have been getting busy, the robins are bopping around the yard, and the starlings are infesting parking lots.

Just this morning I not only saw a caterpillar crawling about, I saw a skunk and a field full of Robins.
I so hope we are done being cold....

jd4020, I think we got hit harder by winter than myheaven who is north of us. It was snowing again yesterday ... hopefully the last hurrah of old man winter.

The gardens are still under a couple feet of snow and the barn water spigot is still frozen (the frost line went extra deep this year). It ain't spring around here until we have water flowing in the barn again.
