It only has location to recommend it. Except for that, you wouldn't consider it for a minute, would you?? The park owners will surely have to get the thing out of there fairly quickly unless someone is just crazy/desperate to take the job off their hands.

Would you consider that over priced. Needs roof, some flooring, furance, not sure about plumbing.windows. And other stuff I ' m sure. I ' d like it but I m thinking 4000 grand is too much. I can slowly bring it back to life while living with my mom next.
They give em away for free here. So I'd say no. Most I'd consider is $250 and that is only if I wanted to make a flat trailer out of it. The axles are probably frozen if they are even there.

Bad part is, you would be paying space rent until you got it fixed, not cheap. Space rent keeps the prices of old single wides cheap and it is not cheap to move when/if you want/need to. I see liveable ones here for $2,000 that the last owner spent good money on when they bought it, now hard to sell when they need to move on. Another bad part is the space rents have gone up and continue to do so.. The park owners like to get rid of the older mobiles so they can up the space rent on new tenants. You are at their mercy and locked in with few options....James

I am renting one of those old trailers that was bought for 100 bucks several years ago, the guy fixed it up put in all new wiring, redid all the plumbing pipes and brought them up and on the inside of the trailer, sheet rocked most of the walls, took out both doors and put in Thermopane sliding ones. That was 20 years ago.
I have rented this trailer now for 18 years the trailer itself is a 1965 model so it is nearly 50 years old, and so far I keep warm and dry inside. So with a little DIY some can be saved. LOL

Noooooo.
Even if they give it away, it'll cost a grip to fix. 3Without going too deep, fittings and whatnot for trailers can be kind' specialized, hard to find, expensive, frustratimg, and...crummy.
Trailer resto's and scrap metalimg work are for those who already know the game.
A leaky moly trailer is a problem.

Thinking the same. I don't believe you could safely pull it out of there. Haul trash to the dump, Scrap the Metal.

the problem with putting a lot of fix up time and money into an old, total rebuild trailer-home is that after you are done, you will still not have anything resalable for anywhere near what you put in it. If you put that time and money into a solid house with a good foundation, then you will be creating equity.

I gotta agree about that not having reusable value. The park is willing to buy the trailer back at 1000$ and that's highest they will go. We put roughly 2500$ into it fixing it but we got it for free and wasn't in such a bad shape as you described that trailer to be. So be warned if you do. Personally I still say go find something else. 4k is outragious for broken down old trailer.

If you want it for the location, which is valuable to you alone, and you are willing to put in at least 10K, get it for the lowest price you can and then scrap it out and buy in a better one to put in it's place. Or maybe your mom would consider moving to a different place herself, so you aren't tied to that location?

If your mother is in the next door trailer and you are married, you would probably be better off buying a place somewhere on the other side of the country.
