I live north of Brainerd (25 miles west of Aitkin) and we have tons of deer and dog ticks. The majority of the ticks test positive for at least 1 tick disease.

I'm confused. I looked around the property. (Got 3 weeks off what else am I going do) the property has towering spruce very few tamarak. Talked to neighbors to the left they say the ground is good soil and isn't a really a swamp but there is swamp by it down the road. Say it is really good deer hunting and there. Says the the guy who owned the place before got divorced... lost the place. Was surveyed the before he lost the place and they cleared the property line (bought 10 feet cleared)... just thought I would update bout it. Don't know which one to believe the government soil site or neighbors lol

If you have access why not take soil samples from various places and have them analyzed?

Place is under 3 feet of snow and such. Not really a choice at the time.

If you look on the image with the contour lines there is a long number. That is the parcel number for that parcel.

Is it possible we are talking about different parcels? For sure that one is flat as a pancake and that topography usually comes with wetlands.

Cranberries grow well in this soil and need a low ph (acid). In Michigan the government assists in site development for cranberries, but not most other swamp development.
