Entry for Decal
This is too easy... I really feel like I must work a little more for this, so I will try to entertain somebody... Whether or not anyone sees this is purely irrelevant, but it would be interesting to see if anyone looked at all these replys, lol. This is the time of the year in Texas when the chickens and the turkeys are just starting into the egg laying routine, and we have obtained a nice cabinet incubator with high hopes of hatching a few. We will see how far we get on that learning curve, lol. The garden is going great guns, and we are planting things each week now. We have been harvesting Broccoli, Carrots, Lettuce, Bok Choy, Spinach, Onions, and are looking at some very nice heads of Cabbage. The Red Wattle Hogs are all getting ready to farrow within the next month and a half or two, and the little ones from the last three litters are about 4 months old, and getting anxious for a new home. The weather has been crazy, freezing one day and 60 -70 the next, this is feeding my sinuses all they need to drive me crazy, and I just can't wait until the Spring weather is here finally. We have a new setup for seed starting, with a total of 16 square feet of space under the lights. I am excited to see how well I do this year, rather than waiting to plant outdoors I can get a 2 month start on a lot of things. The cows are getting ready to give birth, over the next 3 months, and before long we will have another 7 calves running around like puppies.
I feel much more like I deserve to win a decal or 2 now, I would love to add one to the Farm Van, and maybe one to the Truck as well, lol - Spring Well Wishes to all the Homesteaders Today!!!
