You can call it what you want or you can call it the correct name: ZERK.

It sounds as if you have a knock-in zerk, take the other zerk off and take it to an auto parts or farm store and get a new one.

OR, perhaps, the correct name is "that thing that the end of my grease gun hose won't stay on".
