This is GOOD INFO!! I used soaker hose in my garden with water being drawn out a pond. Even though I was using a pvc pipe with hacksaw slits in it as a form of a filter---All 1200ft of soaker hose clogged to the point that some of the pipe swelled up till it busted. It worked good for the first few minutes. Got to filter that water!

We have a 30'x60' garden (and are planning to expand it next season); I have a small garden tractor and we use a moldboard plow and a small 4' disc to keep it prepped. Tillers can be expensive and quite honestly, I enjoy plowing our little plot.

As for soaker hoses, I have yet to find any that last more than a season or two.
