We'll be tarping them over to keep them dry once we finish filling the rick. The main advantage to breaking them up ahead of time is that they take up a lot less room. There are about 50 pallets in that pile!

I've found five or six businesses that will give me pallets and try to hit up one every weekday, depending on where I'm working. Some days I only score one or two, but on others, I bring home a truckload!

The pine ones are easy to disassemble, but he'll sometimes run the oak ones through the saw.

The only ones we seem to be able to get have about a gazillion nails at each nailing point...next to impossible to disassemble. We end up cutting then apart for firewood.
