One more thing.

Sometimes people have money, that they want to put to work; and we may not know they have any money.

One time some years ago I asked my neighbor if he knew where I could find some private money to buy a house that I was looking at. Now understand I did not ask him for money, I only asked if he knew someone with money to loan.

My neighbor was a cab driver and had done that for 30 years or so. I never thought that he had the kind of money that I needed.

He said tell me about the house. In time he said that he had the money and he would like to earn more interest with it. It took some time but we struck a deal.

I would not ever have known he had any money at all, if I had not asked.
