Kitchen colors to go with (ugh) blue

I love the terra cotta idea too! I also like chocolate brown with light blue. Also, I have read where you can paint counter tops to change the color, or do an over lay on the existing possibly. I also like the lime green-but that's one you would either love or hate! Good luck-it's so fun to decorate a new space!

I'd go bright and contrasting - it will help make the pale blue read as white. Do not use white anywhere else! Orange, bright green, brick red - any 'big' color will go fine with pale blue and get the blue to read to the eye as white.

I like the idea of finding the color on bedspreads, etc, to see what colors are "in" now. I was at an Amish restaurant this weekend and noticed a quilt on the wall that had the same blue in it. They used a taupe and white with it and it looked nice. I might do something like that, and add chocolate brown as accents. I like the way the bathroom came out with the chocolate.
