Small half dollar sized holes straight down the rows! This is so frustrating, we had a perfect rainy spell. Now I guess I'll till it all over and replant, but what if it all gets gobbled up again? Don't know if Im wasting my time.
I'm thinking probably it was birds since there are no prints. Maybe crows? IDK. Anyone have any advice?

I planted that whole darned 1/4 with a stick planter it took me nine hours

Sounds like squirrels. I had the same problem where the field is closest to the woods. What I do to help solve the problem is when I plant the corn---I then spread out a few lbs of regular feed corn on the side of the field closest to the woods. I also setup a camouflaged spot within range. Then in a couple days I go take a seat in this spot and elimate the tree rats. Got 7 the first morning in about 45 minutes. If you do not think 7 squirrels will ruin your planted corn----just sit back and watch. If you do not want to shoot them, just keep refreshing the scattered feed corn till your plants get up in size.
