Hard work is refreshing. I keep telling my boy that, he's skeptical.

You all are AMAZING!!!! I love seeing the before and after pictures.

I'm also chuckling at your dog...he outweighs me by a good 80 pounds.

Anyway..love the progress! It gives me hope that I can buy that property I'm eying and that maybe there isn't too much work to be done after all...

Update

Well, we finally got the kitchen cabinets in. I finished all the plumbing and electrical work this weekend and then mounted the backsplash.

The wood for the cabinets was all salvaged from inside the various outbuildings on the property. The cabinet hardware is vintage faucet handles.

Before and after. I'll post some better pictures shortly.

Closeup of the backsplash. This is from Lowes in the Kitchen section. They have several different styles of panels. All are plastic and easy to work with. Looks very realistic.

Love the kitchen! What did you seal the counter top with?

I love, love love your place! It is in much better shap than our ranch was when we got it. We have been refusing to go into debt at our place. We have actually been given a lot of the supplies and materials. Left overs from other people's construction projects. Or used materials. I have a gorgeous, huge cast iron sink that someone gave me after they remodeled their kitchen. Doing most of the work ourselves, as we can afford it. It is slow going that way, but it's worth it.
