One of our tenants saw a few roaches when a neighboring house was fumigated after horribly filthy tenants were evicted. I'm roachaphobic, too and didn't want this to be the start of something horrible. We called an exterminator and they set up bait stations. They followed up a couple of weeks later and provided more bait stations, but they weren't needed. I think it cost a couple of hundred dollars, but the piece of mind was priceless.

In some of the southern states, people tend to subscribe to services that periodically come through to exterminate or at least inspect. his can help to keep critters out and.or keep them from getting out of hand. If we had any multi-unit buildings, we'd probably resort to something like this because one tenant with roaches quickly turns into all tenants with roaches.

Or as they call them down in Florida, just a waterbug...lol....these generally aren't the infestation type but i dont like any bugs in my house.

I would get one come in every so often but i just kept the house sealed up tight and killed em as I saw em, never was a problem. only a couple thru the years of living there.

Yes that's a roach alright and you better be careful because they are nasty. Don't listen the people telling you it's nothin to worry about! If I was you I'd be plenty worried cuz what they can do to you....well you don't want to know. Whatever you do don't open your mouth when you sleep. You might want to make sure you cut your hair real short cuz they can get stuck in your hair and then getting them out while they squirm and bite and.... well you get the idea. They like warm dark places...like your bed. They get in all your food and just be sure you look real close at every bite cause they hide under every corn flake and what ever else you got that they can get into. When you come into a dark room and turn on the lights their first reaction is to run and climb so you might want to tape your pants legs closed tight. You don't want them gittin up your pants legs cuz...well lets just leave it at that. Yup that's a roach and I sure am glad I don't live at your house.

lol, your thinking of german roaches....they are NASTY.

This is just a little palmetto bug that doesn't bite or run when you turn on the lights.

I have a feeling you have lived with a BAD german roach infestation and I feel sorry for you, but it is no reason to get someone worked up over a different type of bug entirely.
