I got 1 coon last night but it wasn't the coon I know was killing our birds.
The killer only has 1 eye and a short tail.
This one had both eyes and a long tail.
I'll get it sooner or later. Hopefully sooner.

If you have a coop, anchor a live trap to a hole in the wall.
Pred thinks its found a way in ,, but not.

Look for quite small dog-like tracks in a straight line, not staggered. That's a fox. Staggered and larger is a dog or coyote. Tiny handprints like a human only very much smaller is a coon. Bird tracks with wing marks on either side is an owl or hawk taking off. size 10 red wing boots is a hungry neighbor.....Joe

Sorry I keep asking questions, but are you losing them during the night or during the daytime? Are they kept penned up during the night?

Springtime is when all the preds raise babies. Lock up your stock or lose them.

This is exactly how I caught the fox that was stealing my chickens. Worked like a charm. Put the live trap right at the coop door on the inside. Mr. Fox thought he was easily getting into the coop for his nightly chicken dinner. Man, was he surprised.
