I guess the only thing I dont like about moving the clocks forward is the later daylight hours makes my body not want to sleep at 9pm when I really want to sleep so I can get up early.

Not following you here.
If I get up at 6:00am and do what I have to to get to work i turn the lights on, and do it. Now the clocks are changed I still get up at 6:00am to do the thing I need to do which involves turning the lights on. It has saved nothing. My lights are still on the same number of hours a day. They are just different hours.

That's not going to happen. We change back because daylight savings time would have us up before daylight during the depths of winter. Conventional wisdom tells us that sending kids out to walk to school while it's still dark is dangerous, so we change back to normal time for safety reasons.
