Thats the best way when it says number unknown, Private number many ways. but I also have my answer machine on ALL THE TIME. If somebody wants me that badly they can leave a message.
And with Caller ID even when I am watching TV the Caller ID shows up on my TV~! So I don't even have to look at the phone to see who it is. LOL.
I love that feature.

I love having the caller Id come through on the TV. Our phone doesn't even ring, (fax line), but I can see who is calling. That way, if it is a human that I want to talk to fast, I can just call them back. Of course, you have to be watching TV at the time they call to see the caller Id though.

Sorry Wayne, haven't been back until now! It never even rings, doesn't show up on caller ID, call log or voice mail. It's like they never even called, as far as I'm concerned. I was getting 4-5 calls every couple of days, and they've just disappeared, haven't had a single one since downloading the app.

You can do it several different ways, only blocking certain numbers, only allowing certain numbers, etc. What I did was block all numbers not on my contact list. Then I just add people to my contact list as I need to, it's a very short list, lol. I mainly have the phone for emergencies.

The one I used is called Mr. Number. It's an android app. I'm sure there are others too, I just saw this one mentioned several times when I started looking and thought I'd try it first. Haven't had any reason to go looking for another one. Hope this helps.

Some people think if their phone rings they must answer it.
You don't have to answer it every time it rings.
If you do answer it they will continue to call.
If you don't answer they will stop calling.

They always want to do surveys.

"Can you take this quick survey?"

"It is -48 and I am trying to get help from someone so I don't die."

"It will only take a couple minutes."

"Are you an idiot? You are taking up my last little bit of battery. Put me on your never call this again list" Hang up.

They call back in an hour.

"Can you take this quick survey?"

"Are you trying to kill me?"

"It will only take a couple minutes."

"I told you never call this again or I am calling the police!!"

"OK Sir, we will put you on our do not call list. It may take a couple weeks."

"My battery is dying..... you killed me....." Hang up.
