Do you want to tell us what part of ME? We were on Worthley Pond, Peru, for a MONTH last summer. LOVED it. Now that I know the new way to post pics, I think I'll start a thread...

Here in southren Nova Scotia we are having a much colder winter than we have had for many years. To night is -11C which figures to be about about 10F I think. All I know is the wind chill is much colder and has been for days now. The wind howls. We do not have a lot of snow but a lot of ice on the roads. A car flipped on its side this afternoon not far from us.

[QUOTE=Tricky Grama;6412563] We were on Worthley Pond, Peru, for a MONTH last summer. LOVED it.
I have been there many times , as we use to get our water at the spring on Greenwoods Road ( and bring it back to Mass. ) till they built the bottling plant
( My late friend logged the trees off before the spring was sold ) . In 1966 My parents bought land on a lake below there , the point between Big Bear and Little Bear in Hartford , Maine. , and we built a camp on it .
They had an offer for it they couldn't refuse , and sold it in 2004 and We have only been back a couple of times since .

Just spent 3 days at -45 to -48.

Weathermen neem to hire a carpenter to build them a house 30-40 degrees off the plan. Clueless twits.

Those are temps I can handle. Here in northern WI we had a few days of -30 but really the winter as a whole has not been too bad. Strange winter actually. Untill yesterday we had maybe 1ft total snow for the winter. I think it snowed 8" yesterday. Not sure what the official measure was though. Still crazy low for northern WI.

Right now it is a balmy 2 degrees

It is going to -35C here tonight in Manitoba with a somewhere -45C or so windchill (F and C meet at -40).

I have the kerosene supplementary heater going and got so warm I had to shut it off. I work outside all day and today was the first day this winter that I had to say I was cold. Bone cold.

Well, yesterday before the storm it was in the high 70s but now it's freezing - it's in the 40s. Brrr...I never even saw snow until I was 19 and drove out west....I honestly don't know how you guys do it. You are made of tough stuff!
