We heat our home with a woodstove. It also heats water.

I cook everything we eat on our wood stove, and it is a heating stove, not the cook stove type. Also we heat our water via the wood stove as well.....currently by melting snow since this is much easier than hauling water from 10 miles away and sledding it down the path to our house.

120*F??? Good Lord, woman! I didn't see temps like that when I lived in Phoenix! (Max that I saw was 117*F) So it's 49*C there right now? I hope you have air conditioning!

Hmmmmm, might I suggest that your first expenditure in the new place be aircon? That is, if you wish to be able to *move* at all during the summer months.
