It's comparing apples to rotten apples, IMO.

Good, tech savvy salesman get results/responses in seconds,

How does Mr Landline, deal with everybody else, who only have access to email, on-line data and electronic images?

What happens when someone calls him at home, needing a missing last minute document -that needs signed?

I'm a 36 year old guy who has been in sales for 16 years with the same company. I learned from all the "old timers" how it should be done. I know what it was like before internet and email. I have all the new devices and I still use paper files and I can find anything I'm looking for in those files really fast. We all can sell something but it's the customer service part that sets me aside from my competition. I've seen old timers extremely unorganized, cranky and slow so I think it really comes down to what kind of person you are...
