No running around nakid outside today - major blizzard with winds gusting to 40 mph and -9F windchill. We'll be sending what we don't need on to MN soon.

I don't have much to add about the naked part, but it's been so warm and muddy here that I can't even get a tractor with a trailer full of hay up to the barn. It froze last night, but we've been carrying hay up by hand a bale at a time.

I just told my husband this morning after sticking my head out into the cold drizzle that was falling that
I doesn't feel like the first snow of the season but it sure feels like the first ice storm of the winter is lurking on the horizon. I'll take snow any day over ice. Very strange weather for December.

Very muddy here too. The creeks are very full and I think it is going to flood a lot come spring.

Just a bit NE of Grand Rapids - freezing rain and HUGE snowflakes this afternoon Very pretty - not so nice for driving. My kid's are praying for a delay tomorrow due to ice - I told them not to get their hopes up

5° this morning, outside, and 48° inside. I have not changed clothes in 3 days.

Bet it gets to 0 tomorrow morning at 0600.

Its 43 degrees here now, hubby and the boys say it is cold? What? LOL I am thinking awesome weather for this time of year! Last year, we cut a Christmas tree down in the snow. Tomorrow we will cut one down in the rain. I still have Fuschias blooming...no kidding! We have had it dip down a few times but no big deal. We went out to get firewood, my son and I. Guilty for wearing my fleece jammy pants but full attire with no jacket. Our home is decked out for the holidays, we only need a tree. All this talk about going out to get wood whilst in various stages of undressed....mmmm Sounds like when we used to sneak out to the old hot tub at night in natural state to enjoy the snow falling down while soaking in that hot water..now it needs a new pump...boo hoo. No more late night hot tubbing for us for a while!

I always thought the term shrinkage had to do with wood furnishings in the house that are affected by dry winter heat...till I read this thread...
