Good one. I require custom made because when I go to the regular boot stores, I can't find one that has wide sizes and half shoe sizes also. I'm a 9 and half wide. I mean wide. Like in hobbit feet. My son has the same problem but he's 5. Only shoe company we've found to fit our feet is New Balance company. I've also been told that Muck boot company may have boots in my size for hunting. I've not gone out to find that company yet. Will soon. I also have a high arch. Was told that people with Native American ancestry have this problem. I wouldn't know due to me being adopted out and I'm Anglo looking.

Are we related? Overall, that explaines my problems getting shoes to fit. I just call my feet duck feet and hope when I have to get new shoes I can find some wide enough.

If our local Craigslist was any indication, you would think that the majority of people are illiterate. I have clicked on ads simply because i couldn't figure out what they were selling! As for lousy descriptions- When I was looking for a dog, it'd amazing how many people say nothing of worth about the dog. I actually saw ads that never said whether it was a dog or a cat! They would list the name and the color- that's it.

Ted, have you tried TimberlandPRO? Nice wide shoes with half sizes.
Gander Mountain carried them for a while.

Downhome is spot on. Miners got tired of widows having 24 hr to move out , children and all. They all started chiping in a penny for a fund to help. Times were hard in company housing. U.S. even dropped bombs , some never went off and were used as proff.

As far as the doors, just guesiing, many people dont know their door size.

I think people just don't think.

People post wedding dresses for sale with no size. People just don't think. Or like one person above me said the older lady that had her door replaced figured they are all similar enough to be used interchangeably or maybe she thinks all front doors are the same size.

I am a nurse practitioner and I can't tell you how many times (in fact yesterday was the last time) that when I asked a patient what medication they were on they said, "I don't know the name, it is the little white round one with numbers on it." And then seemed surprised that there are lots of pills that match that description out there. They are not stupid or being disrespectful. I don't get mad at them. I do kind of laugh when I am alone and feel good that my patient must think I am pretty smart to have the ability to visually recognize every pill ever made! They just don't know and they don't think to know these things.

It is quick and easy to post an ad on CL and folks do it without much thought or perhaps knowledge.

No big deal to me, but redneck always seems a bit of a southern term, and meant people who worked hard outdoors. Probably didn't go to school after high school, if they made it through hs. But were fun loving, hard working folk.

Lara's descripition is of a creep, leach, or something, doesn't have anything to do with 'redneck' in my understanding.

I'm of German background, whole town here is 75% German ancestory. There is a club that celebrates it's German background in town. There is a second, smaller group also. Wife & I attended the smaller group's open house, they were common, friendly, welcoming group. They made a few remarks about the bigger group being from the upper side of the tracks, and gwetting all the money, and stealing the limelight. While the smaller group was more common folk, got things done, etc.

When we left, I said to my wife - you know I'm from the Redneck German clan????

And we did go to a Monster Truck show once, so that just seals it....

Anyhow, I always thought redneck was a fun loving, hard working, get-er done less formally educated person - common folk?

Had nothing to do with learing at women?

But perhaps I'm too far north to know?

I sell a lot of stuff on Craigslist. Low priced cars seem to attract the most tools. After dealing with people trying to offer half or less of the asking price, people who want to trade some worthless junk, and those who will call 50 times and then wig out when it comes time to actually look at the car I've had to resort to insults. The way I see it is if I insult the sort of people that I don't want calling in the ad the remainder will be serious buyers It's actually worked quite well. Since then I've been able to get close to my asking price with much less drama.
